ATP Vienna Day 4 Predictions Including Alexander Zverev vs Matteo Arnaldi

It should be an entertaining fourth day at the ATP Vienna Open with the Round of 16 set to continue in the Austrian capital. As always, we at LWOT will be offering our predictions for every match on the schedule, including Jannik Sinner vs. Flavio Cobolli. But who will secure their place in the quarter-finals?
ATP Vienna Day 4 Predictions
Daniil Medvedev vs. Corentin Moutet
Face to face: Medvedev 2-1 Moutet
Daniil Medvedev’s improved form during the Asian swing suggests the Russian should have enough to win this match, but Corentin Moutet should not be ruled out. He has already beaten the Russian this year and pushed him to three sets last time they met earlier this month in the final in Almaty.
The Frenchman also looked sharp in winning his first round match against Damir Dzumhur for a loss of just three games – while Medvedev was not at his best in overtaking Nunu Borges. Likewise, in crucial moments, it is hard to escape the feeling that Medvedev’s power and experience might just give him a decisive advantage. The Russian is, after all, a former world No. 1 while Moutet has never been ranked higher than he currently is at 36th place.th in the world.

Matteo Arnaldi vs. Alexander Zverev
Face to face: Zverev 2-0 Arnaldi
Alexander Zverev generally seems to enjoy indoor hard courts, with the still conditions particularly helping his serve. He remains vulnerable to being rushed onto the right wing by the best in the game but – with all due respect to Matteo Arnaldi – the Italian probably doesn’t fall into that category.
He’s having a great season and has taken the lead over Zverev in their previous two meetings, suggesting it won’t be an entirely comfortable day at the office for the second seed. But the end result of those two matches – Zverev’s wins – suggests the German will be the man to reach the quarter-finals.

Tomas Martin Etcheverry vs. Lorenzo Musetti
Face to face: Musetti 1-0 Etcheverry
This could be a tough ask for Tomas Martin Etcheverry. The Argentine has improved on hard courts, but he remains much more comfortable on clay, and his first round victory over the inexperienced Nicolai Budkov Kjaer doesn’t necessarily tell us how this match will play out.
Lorenzo Musetti has not, it must be said, been in sparkling form before this event, but the fourth seed has been quite solid in recent weeks and got past Hamad Medjedovic without much trouble. The same should allow Musetti to safely advance to the quarterfinals of the ATP Vienna Open.
Prediction: Musetti in 2
