According to bookmakers, Ruud is the slight favorite of this match and we agree. Berrettini had trouble with his shape and injuries throughout the season. On the other hand, Ruud dominated Mochizuki in the second and third sets. Right now, the Norwegian is in better shape and has more momentum in this match. He also leads 5-3 during tête-à-tête meetings and we expect him to get the sixth head to head against Berrettini tomorrow.

Jenson Brooksby has won four of his last five games. The last match he played before ATP Tokyo was at US Open, where he lost Cobolli in the second round. So far this season, the Briton has not had remarkable results on the hard courts. This week in Tokyo, Brooksby beat Humbert in the first round in two sets. He dragged 1-4 in the first set, but returned it.
Luciano Darderi has won four of his last five games. Last week in Chengdu, Draderi lost against Tabilo in the opening match in two sets. A week earlier, the Italian won the Challenger title in Genova on Clay. This week in Tokyo, Darderi beat Nishioka in the first round in two sets. He saved a section point in the opening set. Dardardi did not offer any stopping point in the second set. Last season in Tokyo, Darderi lost against Navone in the first round in two sets. He hopes that a solid result retains its Top 30 status.
Best bet to do
According to bookmakers, Brooksby is the slight favorite of this match and we agree. He is a better hard earthmoving player than Dardardi and we expect him to dominate the rallies. Dardardi has never succeeded in hard courts.
That being said, Brooksby Winning is a value bet.
