West Sacramento, California – Athletics designated the second goal Luis Urias for assignment Monday while recalling Zack Gelof from Triple -A Las Vegas to play the same position.
GELOF began the year on the injured list after surgery on the right on March 24. This will mark his second visit with the club. He returned to A on July 4 for eight games before being optionized in Las Vegas, where he then struck .259 with 11 circuits and 28 products.
