Astros obtains the “best high school striker” in the latest MLB simulation project

For all the turnover, the Houston Astros knew this offseason, obtaining Isaac Paredes was certainly beneficial.
Paredes was part of Kyle Tucker’s trade. He, with the launcher Hayden Wesneski, and the Voltueur Cam Smith, joined the astros for the knock.
Tucker produced like a MVP in Chicago. PARDES had not only this shadow to manage, but also had to replace Alex Bregman with the third goal, who bolted the Boston Red Sox as a free agent.
So far, PARDES has been very good. During his first 61 games in Houston, the 26 -year -old reduced .252 / .347 / .474 with an OPS .812, with 14 circuits and 37 points produced. His career summits in the circuits and RBI were 31 and 98 in 2023. There is a good chance that he could spend one of these stages this season.
PARDES is under the control of the team until 2028. It was part of the reason why the astros wanted it.
So who could replace it? Well, Astros may be able to find this replacement in the MLB recovery of July.
In the most recent draft of MLB.com in the first round, Jonathan Mayo asked the astros to select Gavin Fien, a third basic player from Great Oak, California.
It is an intriguing position to try to lock now. He would not need to be ready for a few years, which gives him time to develop. Yes, he is a secondary player and it comes with a different set of development expectations. But Mayo clearly said why a team would take him in the first round.
“… Many considered him the best pure high school striker on the summer window circuit,” he wrote.
The Astros selected Sam Houston Catcher Walker Janek in the first round of last year’s draft. He is the departure receiver of High-A Asheville in the hope of going to Double-A corpus Christi later this year.
Brice Matthews, originally from Houston, played his university base in Nebraska. He has already mounted on Triple-A Sugar Land and is considered a player who could make his debut at the MLB this year.
The Astros selected the voltijouriser pulled Gilbert out of Tennessee in the first round of the 2022 draft. Gilbert was included in Justin Verlander’s trade with the New York dishes in 2023.
Houston did not have a selection in the first round in the MLB 2020 and 2021 projects, which were delivered due to the electronic scandal of signs of the signs after the victory of the astros world series in 2017.
The recovery of the MLB 2025 will take place on Sunday and Monday July 13, July 13, during the star weekend in Atlanta.
