Aston Villa News: Ezri contained “crisis meetings”

Ezri Konsa rejected the need for crisis meetings despite the bad start to the season of his team.
The defender of the villa said that the comments of the boss Unai Emery on the defense “lazy” after the draw on Sunday with Sunderland were “just” because “we know that it is not good enough”.
“We are proud to play a high line – this is something that the boss has tried to install since his arrival,” continued Konsa. “We have not fully understood.
“Things have not been good so far for us this season, but there are blips in a season and we are going through this now. I hope we can go.”
Villa is in the relegation zone after failing to win one of its first five Premier League games, firing three and losing two.
During discussions on “crisis meetings”, Konsa said: “I don’t think we are on stage to have meetings. Some say “crisis meetings”, but we have a big captain at John McGinn who really takes the lead in stuff like that.
“After the match, he said a few words to move forward and encourage us. We haven’t started the season well – we know it – but I’m sure it will be fine soon.”
