The creator of Hannibal has the perfect pitch for a new mini-series Hannibal Lecter

Fans of the Mystery Procedure by Bryan Fuller by Bryan Fuller “Hannibal” have wanted more in the stellar series since his unhappy cancellation in 2015, and it turns out that Fuller himself has the perfect idea for a way to give these fannibals what they want. In an interview with Screenrant, Fuller revealed that he had an idea for a mini-series inspired by “Silence des Lambes” which would continue the story some time after the end of season 3 of “Hannibal”, and he already has a dream actor in mind to play the star of FBI Starling, Star Zendaya.

Fuller’s “Hannibal” series pulled Thomas Harris novels on Hannibal The Cannibal, mainly “Hannibal” and “Red Dragon”, with the latter serving almost half of the third and last season. This means that “the silence of the lambs” would then be in place, following Clarice while she tries to track down a serial killer, the FBI calls “Buffalo Bill” and goes to the hannibal imprisoned with help. The story has already been told on the screen in the awarded film of the Academy of the same name of director Jonathan Demme, who featured Jodi Foster as a Clarice and Anthony Hopkins as Charismatic Hannibal. However, it would be incredible to see the point of view to Fuller on this story in the strange world of his “Hannibal”.

Although it is quite unlikely that the Fannibals can see many more favorite puppies of each Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) in a series “Silence of the Lambs”, Zendaya would make an absolutely killer Clarice and could keep it on the screen against Mads Mikkelsen like Hannibal. Zendaya has an incredible range and is roughly the right age to play a FBI quanto FBI trainee. It is also excellent for playing a mixture of innocence in the eyes of doe and hard -won experience which corresponds well to Clarice. This is something that Foster nailed, but that Julianne Moore did not quite projected when she assumed the role in the follow -up film of Ridley Scott, also entitled “Hannibal”.

Fuller, for his part, succinctly presented his dream “hannibal” continuation as follows:

“My dream project is to make a limited series of ‘Silence of the Lambs’ with Mads and Zendaya like Clarice Starling. If I could do something in the universe, I would put it in the universe.”

A limited series with these two taking place in various frightening prison cells, mixed with the more surreal taking of Fuller on the novels of Harris, would be absolutely divine. It has been a decade that “Hannibal” has left the air, which means that time is absolutely perfect for “the silence of the lambs”. Fannibals will always be ready, so we hope Fuller will be able to realize his dreams.

In the meantime, the beginnings of director of Fuller, “Dust Bunny”, should open the rooms on December 5, 2025.
