Bayern Munich against RB Leipzig: Lines-Up, Statistics and Overview

Overview of Bayern Munich against RB Leipzig
Bayern Munich opens the defense of their Bundesliga crown tomorrow when RB Leipzig visits the Allianz Arena.
Vincent Kompany helped Bayern as the title in his first season in charge in 2024/25 and he seems inevitability that they will dominate the League again.
Their closest rivals, Bayer Leverkusen, lost Florian Wirtz, Jonathan Tah and Granite Xhaka while Borussia Dortmund did little this summer to suggest that they will take up a serious challenge.
Leipzig, themselves, also saw Benjamin Šeško leave with Xavi Simons apparently ready to join the Slovenian in the Premier League.
In a recent survey of the other 17 Bundesliga coaches, each switched Bayern to win the League.
It is perhaps Kompany must find other ways to motivate his team outside the Champions League and reiterated that his players will have to show a lot of desire if they want to compete both at the national level and in Europe.
He said: “You always want to adjust the bar a little higher, it will always be the case. We are champions, so it’s good that we are favorite. But that won’t win the game tomorrow. The important thing is that we are hungry, as if we were winning for the first time.”
Bayern warmed up for the new League season by winning the Super Cup last weekend, seeing Stuttgart 2-1 thanks to the goals of Harry Kane and the new signature of Luis Diaz.
The arrival of Diaz partially compensates for the departures of Kingsley Coman and Leroy Sane while Jamal Musiala is sidelined for a long time after having undergone a broken leg and a dislocated ankle during the confrontation of the World Cup of clubs against the Saint-Germain of Paris.
Bayern was otherwise calm, but Kompany insisted that he was satisfied with his team.
“The most important match so far was against Stuttgart. We have taken a step in the right direction there,” he added. “We must also win the match of tomorrow, so we can say that we have taken a good start. It is true that the pre-season has not been ideal. But then you have to be mentally prepared. What we have shown so far is that we are absolutely ready to fight. We also want to draw the strength from this phase.”
Summer was more frantic in Leipzig with several new signatures, although many are not tested in the German elite. They also have a new man in charge of Ole Werner, who succeeded Marco Rose.
Kompany said: “There is a greater variety. They have a new coach and a whole new structure. They signed talented players and have a strong team.
“Last season did not go too well, but Leipzig is certainly among our rivals. We have to take the game very seriously. They have wingers who are good in individual situations and players like Xavi Simons in role number 10. They are strong in the future.
This is a difficult opening mission for visitors, but the new Captain David Raum is impatient to use it as a gauge.
He said: “For us, this is a good measure to see where we are. We are entering the back of a mixed season. It is important to know how you present yourself in such a game. Of course, the result counts, but it is also important for your own feeling.”
