As the maintenance of Terry McLaurin pursues him, the offensive of the commanders of Kliff Kingsbury arrives at Deebo Samuel Fast

Ashburn, Virginie – When Washington Commanders acquired Deebo Samuel in March, the receiver had an idea of what to expect.
Samuel had played against the defenses of head coach Dan Quinn during his stay with the 49ers of San Francisco. And Samuel had played two division games a year against Now-Washington Kingsbury’s offensive teams when Kingsbury led to Arizona cardinals.

But playing against a team does not fully reproduce the experience of playing for it.
And six years in the powerful offense of Kyle Shanahan did not familiarize Samuel with what is expected in Washington.
“Not at all,” Samuel told Yahoo Sports. “It’s a self-starry [offense here]. These are only signals. You have to pay attention to little things and you should be careful [quarterback] Jayden [Daniels] Because it gives the signals very quickly.
With the 49ers, Samuel says: “We have always had groups.”

Commanders and 49ers were at the opposite ends of the spectrum without hindrance last season. While Washington did not succeed on 61.5% of its pieces, San Francisco abandoned the group with only 3.2% of games, according to Trumedia Data.

The commanders carried out 1,101 attacking games compared to the 1,026 of the 49ers.
Put it together: the commanders aligned themselves without fighting more than 670 times last season, while the 49ers did only 33 times.
The observation of Samuel does not only reflect the unhindered use of the 49ers. It also reflects more than the doubling of the second use of 25.2% of Chicago Chicago Bears, and more than the Quintuplicing (it’s five times!) The league clip on average 12.0% without hindrance.
Since the start of Trumedia data in 2003 on unhindered use, only two units had ever used the smooth pace at a higher rate than commanders of 2024: Eagles Chip Kelly Philadelphia in 2013 (66.7%) and 2015 (72.%).

The commanders’ offensive perhaps to Samuel Fast – but teammates and coaches believe that he will flourish.

“Another playmaker,” Daniels told Yahoo Sports. “I mean, he is proven in this league and obviously a new start for him, so he removes it, which can put the ball in his hand and let him do what he does.
“I am delighted to be able to put the ball in his hand and see what he can do.”
In six years with the 49ers, Samuel captured 334 assists for 4,792 yards and 22 affected while rushing for an addition of 1,143 yards and 20 affected.
Samuel led the league with 18.2 yards per reception during the 2021 season, 10 of these yards to come after taking.

Commanders have dealt with a fifth round draft choice in 2025 for Samuel, which is due to 17.6 million dollars in cash this season – the last year of its agreement.
Samuel sees the potential this year, both because he believes that he “had a lot in the tank” and because Daniels impressed his new receiver with his precision, his decision -making and his wheels “faster than what people think”.
Daniels and Samuel will soon hope to exploit a punch of Samuel and the receiver of the seventh -year commanders Terry McLaurin.
McLaurin, whom Washington has drafted a round after San Francisco selected Samuel, who has just left 13 career -hit in the offensive season of Daniels. With a year to play on his contract and five consecutive seasons of 1,000 yards on his curriculum vitae, McLaurin was held by Minicamp and the first week of training camp.

He pointed out to Washington last weekend but did not practice, landing rather on the list physically unable to play with an ankle injury designation.
Quinn noted in Yahoo Sports on Sunday that, unlike the injured reserve, the list of puppies “you can detach yourself at any time”.
Samuel sees a high ceiling for how he and McLaurin are playing if or when the 13 receiver affected by commanders in 2024 returns to the Giron.
“Terry is a guy that his ball skills are crazy,” said Samuel. “The way he follows the ball, his vertical presence, and I am sort of a guy who weaves and goes out. I think it is completed and we feed on the other’s energy.
“We can do anything. The sky is the limit once it has come out. ”
