Apple would have used the Samsung display for the first foldable iPhone screens

As we saw earlier this year, Samsung Display knows the folds. And apparently, this innovation led them to a major victory – producing screens without strike for the first foldable mobile phone of the iPhone in 2026.

Samsung Display (SDC), which is a company entirely distinct from Samsung itself which produces screens for many other companies, will begin mass production of its flexible folding screens later this year for the foldable launch of Apple iPhone in the summer of 2026, as Korea Jongang Daily reported.

The rumors that Apple will launch its first folding iPhone, perhaps called the iPhone Flip, in 2026, will strengthen, but Tuesday’s report seems to indicate that Apple will not produce its screens without internal folds. The initiate of the Ming-Chi Kuo industry said that this decision could mean that Apple Trusts SDC “provides stable mass production of the foldable iPhone in 2026”.

In an increasingly populated telephone market, Apple took its time to do it properly (and they would have better). And why not deploy a company like Samsung Display, which has innovations such as a double display and even stretch screens?
