Arsenal Reach Agree to sign “explosive” attacker after the Eze agreement
Arsenal concluded an agreement to sign another “explosive” striker after Ebechi Eze, with the agreement now “in place”, he was revealed.
Arteta “delighted” with the signature of Eze
Earlier this week, it seemed that Eze was heading for Tottenham Hotspur, but the Gunners orchestrated a superb late diversion from the agreement of their rivals, the attacking midfielder who finally chose to move to the Emirates Stadium.
Mikel Arteta has since admitted that it was very happy to withdraw the line agreement, given the versatility and experience of the Premier League of the old palace.
Arteta said: “This shows how we want to bring this club to a different level. His talent is indisputable. He lived in this league. The personality is incredible.
“He can play different positions. We know that he can play as an attacking midfielder, right or left. He doesn’t care. And you can say that what happened on this field (before the match) meant the world for him, so I’m delighted to have it.”
The Northern Londoners had continued a new winger throughout the summer, with Rodrygo from Real Madrid and Rafael Leao of AC Milan being also linked to movements, but it remains to be seen if they continue with these agreements after signing Eze.
After the arrival of the international in England, Arteta is very well supplied in attack areas, but David Ornstein revealed that Arsenal now had an agreement in place to sign another striker, namely Victor Ozhianvuna from Shamrock Rovers.
By taking to X, Ornstein revealed that the Gunners had now reached an agreement to sign Ozhianvuna, which should join Irish record fees once the agreement is signed.
“Arsenal Reach Agreement for Shamrock Rovers 16yo Victor Ozhianvuna. Deal not signed but now in place + Worth Ireland Fresh Record. Shamrock Rovers Midfield to join AFC on the pre-contract and arrived in January 2027.”
The 16-year-old should join a pre-contract initially, before officially moving to the Emirates stadium in January 2027.
Ozhianvuna “explosive” is one for the future
While Max Dowman made his first appearance in the Premier League just 15 against Leeds United on Saturday, the young Shamrock is clearly not brought to have an immediate impact, but the Ben Mattinson scout thinks he has a lot of potential.
The young Irishman, who is able to play in the attacking midfielder and on the two wings, was also congratulated for his “explosive acceleration” of Mattinson, which helps him to take the players on the line.
Ozhianvuna has already made 15 appearances in the first team for Shamrock Rovers, which is an impressive feat at only 16 years old, and indicates that it could be an exciting long -term addition to the Arteta team.
