Arsenal Forward Havertz has a knee operation

Arsenal striker Kai Havertz had a knee operation that the club described as “minor”.

The German international missed the 5-0 victory last week against Leeds after resuming the problem in the victory at Manchester United during the opening weekend of the Premier League season.

Havertz, 26, was sidelined for three months last season after speakers surgery, but the Gunners hope that this last reverse will only be for a few weeks.

An Arsenal declaration read: “In addition, to undergo a knee injury after our recent match against Manchester United on August 17, subsequent assessments and specialized magazines with Kai confirmed that surgery would be necessary.

Havertz will miss this weekend’s match against Liverpool, just like Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard after having undergone hips and ankle injuries respectively against Leeds.

Christian Norgaard and Ben White are also doubts of injury, while Gabriel Jesus remains a long -term absent with a knee injury.

Arsenal has signed Ebelechi Eze since Havertz’s injury.
