Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta praised the new Piero Hincapie signature when he explained why the Gunners brought him this summer.

The equatorial international impressed by the former Bayer Leverkusen club, and he is now the last name through the door of the Emirates Stadium.

Hincipie looks like a nice addition to add an even more in -depth quality force to this Arsenal team, because it can fill at the central rear or on the left back.

Arteta approached this versatility during his press conference today, when he explained why Arsenal signed the 23 -year -old, while adding that he was “ready to leave” in terms of start for the club …

“He is a player we have watched for years and he became available,” said Arteta when Hincie was asked earlier during the day.

The Spanish tactician then praised the versatility of Hincie and insisted that he would be an upgrade of what they already had in defense.

Will Piero Hincie play regularly for Arsenal?

Although few people who saw him play would doubt his quality, it may be difficult to see how Hincie will adapt regularly alongside Arteta.

Arsenal has already William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes as their first two central defenders, and none of them can lose their place so early.

In reserve, the AFC can also call on the young central defender highly classified by Cristhian Mosquera, who also joined the Londoners of the North this summer.

On the back left, Arsenal A Riccardo Calafiori and Myles Lewis-Skelly, so that these two positions that Hincipie can play are already very well covered.

It will be interesting to see how the talented young South American can settle in Arsenal, but it will clearly be easy because there is so much competition.

At the same time, however, Arsenal already has injuries, especially in Saliba in defense, which could mean that there will be a decent number of opportunities for Hincie throughout the campaign.
