Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta praised the new Piero Hincapie signature when he explained why the Gunners brought him this summer.

“He is a player we have watched for years and he became available,” said Arteta when Hincie was asked earlier during the day.
The Spanish tactician then praised the versatility of Hincie and insisted that he would be an upgrade of what they already had in defense.
Will Piero Hincie play regularly for Arsenal?
Although few people who saw him play would doubt his quality, it may be difficult to see how Hincie will adapt regularly alongside Arteta.
Arsenal has already William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes as their first two central defenders, and none of them can lose their place so early.
In reserve, the AFC can also call on the young central defender highly classified by Cristhian Mosquera, who also joined the Londoners of the North this summer.
