Arsenal Arteta: Nine teams could win the title of Premier League

Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta, said he thought that up to nine teams can win the Premier League title next season, although he added that his team had the “good ingredients” to go out in the lead.

Arsenal finished second in each of the last three seasons and has strengthened his team with the arrivals of Martín Zubimenddi, Noni Madueke, Christian Nørgaard and Kepa Arrizabalaga for a combined total of more than 120 million pounds Sterling ($ 138 million).

Other arrivals are expected with Arsenal in advanced talks to sign Viktor Gyökeres from Sporting CP and Cristhian Mosquera de Valence.

However, Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea also invested large sums and when they were asked if the time had come for Arsenal to go further and win a major prize, Arteta said: “Each year, we must see how things develop, but I see the right balance in terms of maturity, experience, youth, hunger and all these ingredients.

“The fact is that there are six others, seven and eight clubs in the league which have the right ingredients to win and there will only be one winner. So we have to focus a lot on the things we can control, that we can do, to achieve what we want at the end of the season.”

Pushed if he felt that they had what it was necessary to win the title, Arteta said: “Yes, I do it. It becomes more and more competitive each year. The level increases. We know that our requests must also increase.

“But we have also been very active on the market. We have to improve the players we already have, which is a massive objective after that. And then, define the right foundations and the right pre-season principles to prepare the team with the best shape and the best availability to start the season.

“The only thing they were talking about at the end of last season and the first day through the door is” ok, how are we going to be better? How are we going to do more? “We know that we are so close now in two major competitions and we just want to do the next step.

Arteta was expressed in Singapore where Arsenal will play the first match of his pre-season tour against AC Milan on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Louis Zecevic-John signed his first professional contract with Arsenal. The 17 -year right winger is part of the tour of the under 21 of arsenal in Slovakia.
