According to Screen Rant’s report, Arnold Schwarzenegger once revealed how the box office failure of Last Action Hero had demoralized him. This was his major financial failure. He talked about it in the Netflix documentary Arnold. He was accompanied by James Cameron during this conversation.
Arnie recalled, “I can’t tell you how upset I was. It hurts you. It hurts you. It’s embarrassing.” Cameron consoled him over the phone at the time, and the Avatar 2 creator added: “He looked like he was crying in bed. He took it as a blow to his brand. I think it really shook him. I said, ‘What are you going to do?’ He said, “I’ll just stay alone.” That’s the only time I heard it.
