Ariarne Titmus spoke of her fear of health and the way she inspired to make a high return. In an interview with Laureus Sports, the Australian swimmer mentioned,
“I think that as an artic, more than any career, I suppose that we are in such a bubble and that it is almost as if the outside world did not really exist. And it was probably the first time of my life where my bubble was broken. And I realized that there was so much more in this great big world.”
For uriarne, Ariarne Titmus was diagnosed with two ovarian cysts while she suffered an MRI for a hip injury. The Australian swimmer added, added,
“But, at the same time, it also made me realize how lucky I am, to be able to fight for Olympic gold medals and it really put a lot of things in perspective for me. So I am really proud of the way I have been able to withdraw, first of all, the performances that I had, but I think that the personal growth that I withdrew from these challenges was very important.”
Ariarne Titmus will not participate in the aquatic world championships from July 27. She will return to action from August.
