Apple TV + streaming graphics are 97% RT sci-fi show is great, but I’m always disappointed as a fan of books

Warning! This article contains spoilers for Murderbot season 1, episode 7 and artificial condition.Apple TV + Murder Accelerated criticism and has exceeded streamer’s graphics for weeks now, but I am always disappointed with the science fiction program as a fan of the books on which it is based. Alexander Skarsgård plays the titular link in the cast of Murderbased on Murder newspapers by Martha Wells. He has also already turned out to be a critical and popular darling: Murder 97% on Rotten Tomatoes and has always been classified as the third most popular program on Apple TV + for weeks. Murder is, by almost all metrics, resounding success.
As with any adaptation of a television book, Murder made some changes necessary for its source equipment. Some characters have been completely cut, others have been changed and parts of All red systemsThe story was extended to fill a season of 10 episodes. There are a lot of changes Murder that it works enormously well, such as the inclusion of The rise and the fall of the sanctuary moon. There are others, however, which do not work as well, and although Murder is a great spectacle in its own right, I am always a little disappointed as a big fan of Murder newspapers.
Apple TV + Murderbot is super in itself, but the books are even better
I would like Murderbot if I hadn’t read the books, but the show is not as good as the writing of Martha Wells
To be clear: I like the Murder to show. I think that Alexander Skarsgård does an excellent job as a senunit, many changes have helped the show to succeed and add a good tradition, and it is one of the funniest programs on television right now. Murder The show is great, it’s not as good as Murder newspapers books. It is difficult for me to say that the show is a masterpiece when I can clearly see that it is not up to its full potential. If some parts of Murder were more faithful to books, I would be confident saying that it is one of the best science fiction shows for years.
Take, for example, the rhythm. One of my favorite parts of All red systems was his frantic pace. In a question of pages, Wells presents characters, locations and mainly plunged the reader into a completely foreign and incredibly well-developed science fiction world. In MurderEach episode spends 20 minutes to show everyone sitting and ends as it becomes good. It may be just a symptom of the weekly liberation calendar. Murder Maybe better when you can look at him from the frenzy, but I just know that the show would have been better punctuated if he adapted Artificial condition Also and kept the frightening speed and emergency of the books.
If some parts of Murderbot were more faithful to books, I would be confident saying that it is one of the best science fiction shows for years.
I also have a problem with Murderaction sequences. Make no mistake, there are great moments, such as Murderbot’s predictive technology in the fight against the SECUNIT ROGUE of Deltfall. These nice moments are not enough to compensate for the disappointing feeling in all the fights in the series. In the books, Murderbot is a machine to kill a person who throws himself in danger and appears victorious through a hail of energy projectiles. In MurderIt is essentially a ragdoll that is launched for a while until someone else, like Mensah (Noma Dumezweni) or one of the monsters on the planet, comes to his rescue.

Apple TV + Murderbot show has a huge change for David Dastmalchian’s book character that I’m not sure I can take behind
Murderbot of Apple TV + made its first major change in books, and I am not sure to love what he does in Dr. Gurathin by David Dastmalchian.
The general tone of Murder Also seems compared to books. Polyamory, for example, is an entirely valid way to live a romantic life Murder newspapers. In MurderPolyamormory is presented as a joke or a means of introducing artificial tension in the Pin-Lee (Sabrina Wu) and Arada (Tatiawna Jones) relationship). Preservationales is also generally described as naive hippies, while in books, they are the only moral characters in a world full of greed of companies and crazy human rights violations. Even their relationship with Murderbot is extinct, and it does not look like Murder Inscribed the beautiful friendships on which subsequent books count.
I really hope Murderbot season 2 can be more faithful to books
The chances of Murderbot season 2 are superb because of its popularity, but I hope it can be more precise in the book
With the success of Murder Season 1, both in a critical way and between viewers, Murder Season 2 seems very promising. The show clearly has enough viewers to justify his costs, and he has clearly found his place like his own thing, distinct from books. That being said, I still hope Murder Season 2 turns out to be more faithful to Murder newspapers that season 1 has so far. I would like to see the frantic rhythm and the stellar action of Artificial condition Put on the screen, mainly because I think these things would increase Murder From a great spectacle to an emblematic.

Artificial condition is also the perfect book to change Murder Back to be a more faithful adaptation. Murderbot goes to a distant planet without any of the Presenvial members to investigate his past Artificial conditionwhich means Murder Season 2 will mainly have a new start. Murder Season 2 – Although it will probably include a B -Plot focused on Presaux – will have a new distribution of characters and a more stable base after the success of the first season, which could make it less risky to make a more faithful adaptation. It should be a chance for Murder To finally achieve its full potential.
