Apple publishes Public Betas for New Generation Liquid Glass Software Updates

As promised, Apple has just published the first public beta versions for new generation versions of iOS, iPados, MacOS and most of its other operating systems. The headliner function of all updates this year is the new Apple liquid glass user interface, which takes place simultaneously to all these operating systems. It is the most important and complete update of the aesthetics of the design of Apple software since the release of iOS 7 in 2013.

Rather than obtaining iOS 19, MacOS 16 and Watchos 12, all this new operating systems of this year are labeled as version 26, a transition to a version numbering system based on the year intended to make the versions more coherent on all Apple platforms.

The only major update that does not get a public beta version is visionos 26. If you want to test the new software on a pro vision, you will have to register for the developer’s beta instead – know that when Apple chooses not to publish a public beta version, there is generally a good reason. You can risk additional instability, increased risk of data loss or even damage to your device, so work particularly with care.

The liquid glass interface is still in flow, and each beta version of the developer has so far included significant adjustments; We refrain from saying too much about it until the final versions are published in the fall. But we have early looks at the new multitasking multitasking interface in iPados 26, as well as a handful of less published macOS features that have drawn our attention.
