Anthony Rizzo should retire as a member of the Cubs

Anthony Rizzo, the Winner of Gold Gold Gold, retires as a member of the Chicago Cubs, capping a career that lasted 14 seasons of major leagues.
Rizzo, 36, is a first goal player in the stars three times and served as a key cog to help Cubs win the 2016 World Series and to take their 108 -year -old championship drought. After spending his first season with the Padres de San Diego, Rizzo played for Chicago partly 10 seasons before ending his career with New York Yankees.
“This game gave me everything. 14 years later, I retire with nothing other than gratitude,” wrote Rizzo on Instagram.
The Cubs plan to honor Rizzo on Saturday in their match against the Rays of Tampa Bay on a visit.
He will become a team ambassador.
“Anthony Rizzo was the face of one of the most successful eras in the history of Chicago Cubs and we are so excited that it will be part of our organization for many years to come,” said Cubs executive president Tom Ricketts, in a press release.
“His game on the field spoke of himself and was recognized with multiple appearances in All-Star, Gold Glove Awards, the Roberto Clemente Award and, finally, being a team leader in the 2016 World Series Championship team.”

Rizzo struck .261 with 303 circuits and 965 products produced in 1,727 career matches with the Padres (2011), Cubs (2012-21) and Yankees (2021-24).
