Angola vs Egypt: composition, statistics and preview

Angola-Egypt preview
Egypt will look to record their third consecutive victory at AFCON 2025 when they take on Angola tomorrow.
Hossam Hassan’s side recorded victories against Zimbabwe and South Africa to secure their place in the last 16 and a draw here would ensure they finish top of the group.
The Egyptian boss says there will be no respite from him.
“We will play to win against Angola even after qualifying,” Hassan said. “This match is a valuable opportunity to prepare the team for the upcoming rounds, with full respect for the quality and status of Angola.
“Angola is a strong and respected team. This match gives us the opportunity to refine our performance. The players show a spirit and determination worthy of the Egyptian national team and our constant goal of making the fans happy.”
That’s not to say Hassan won’t make changes to his starting XI and keep some of his big hitters fresh for the challenges ahead.
Speaking after the victory against South Africa, he said: “I will introduce new faces in the match against Angola because it will take place only 48 hours after today’s match.”
Angola are third in Group B and know a win is essential if they are to have a realistic chance of qualifying.

Egyptian defender Mohamed Hany is suspended after being sent off against Bafana Bafana.
Hassan might resist the temptation to leave Mohamed Salah on the bench from the start, but he will likely be eliminated at some point.
