WNBA, the USA network has established an extended rights agreement up to 2036

USA Network, which is one of the next spin-off of the COMCAST COUNTER CABLE, has signed an 11-year-old media rights agreement for the WNBA for regular season matches and games of the playoffs and the WNBA finals in some years starting with the 2026 season.

By virtue of the agreement, which takes place until 2036, USA Network will present at least 50 WNBA games per year. It widens the game package as part of a rights agreement that the WNBA signed last year with NBCU, as well as the Disney / Espn and Amazon Prime video, because the popularity of women’s basketball is booming.

“We are incredibly proud to expand our multi -year partnership with the WNBA,” said sports side president Matt Hong. “USA Network will be a destination for WNBA viewers throughout the season, while we present the power of the stars through the League in our marquee doublesheaders on Wednesday evening and build towards the intensity of the finals of the playoffs and the WNBA WNBA.”

“The partnership with Visant and USA Network marks another important step for WNBA continuous growth,” said WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert. “While the demand for women’s basketball continues to increase, partnerships like this widen the visibility and accessibility of our game. By establishing a weekly destination in prime time for fans, this agreement will highlight the excitement of the WNBA to more households than ever before and will increase the incredible athletes of this league.”

USA Network’s WNBA cover will be anchored by Wednesday evening doubles featuring renowned clashes through the League. Each broadcast evening will also include a pre-match and post-match studio program.

Comcast should finish the spin-off at the beginning of 2026. The new autonomous company will include most NBCuniversal cable television networks, including USA, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, Syfy and Golf Channel with Digital Assets, Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, Golfnow, Golfnow, Golfnow, Golfnow, Golfnow.
