Analysis of the news: Trump, showered by British royalty, has disseminated political grievances abroad

In a banquet table adapted to a king, but taking place specially for him, President Trump called his state visit to the United Kingdom this week “one of the highest honors of my life”.

He then carried out guests at the White Tie event that the United States was “a very sick country” last year before becoming “hottest” again during his reign.

At a press conference with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer at Dakers Estate Thursday, welcoming a bilateral agreement on artificial intelligence investments that were worth hundreds of billions of dollars, Trump qualified the American relationship with Britain as “unbreakable”, greater than any inconvenience of esoteric policy.

But he quickly pivoted magnanimity on the world scene, denying the results of his electoral defeat in 2020 and exclusively calling for conservative journalists, who asked questions about British Christian nature and his alleged predecessor of autocorce.

It was a familiar study in contrast to the president, who regularly mixes diplomacy with internal policy during his meetings with foreign leaders. However, the sound of Trump engaging in a frailful political speech – not to the White House or a political event in Florida or Missouri, but inside the most revered rooms of Great Britain – brought a discordant tone.

The Mirror, a national British tabloid aligned with Starmer’s Labor Party, wrote that Trump’s “Wild Political Divibe …” at Windsor Castle alongside King Charles III “seriously broken the royal protocol”.

On Wednesday evening, as the official banquet concluded, Trump went to his social media platform to designate a far left political movement called Antifa as “a major terrorist organization”, describing the group as “a sick, dangerous and radical radical left disaster”.

This decision aroused a question to Starmer at the press conference of the checkers of a journalist on the right to find out if he would plan to take similar measures against the British left groups.

“We will obviously make decisions for ourselves. I do not want to comment on the president’s decisions,” said Starmer. “But we make our decisions ourselves.”

In another exchange, Trump repeated considerably exaggerated figures on the number of undocumented migrants who entered the United States during the Biden administration, as well as false claims on the 2020 presidential election.

“I don’t want to be controversial, but you see what happened, and you see all the information that came out,” said Trump. “We won in 2020, Big. And I said, let’s go. We have to run. Because I saw what’s going on. ”

The royal family has gone beyond their own rules of rules to show Trump an extraordinary hospitality, honoring the arrival of the president with a salvation of 41 weapons at 41 generally reserved for special and domestic occasions, such as the anniversary of the king.

King Charles welcomed Trump for an unprecedented second state visit – a gesture never extended to an American president – after the king of the king, Queen Elizabeth II, greeted him in Windsor in 2019.

“This is a first and maybe it will be the last time. I hope it is the case,” said Trump in his banquet speech, which has shown the king to laugh and escape.

During the superb dinner, along a table of 160 people in St. George’s Hall, the guests were offered a 1912 cognac in honor of the year of birth of the president of the president, as well as a cocktail of whiskey inspired by his inheritance. The president, for his part, does not drink.

But it is not clear if the King’s soft diplomacy has helped to bring Trump closer to London priorities on foreign affairs. An increasing refrain in Great Britain is opposed to the continuous military operations of Israel in Gaza, and the main British parties are aligned with a moral and strategic need to support Ukraine against the invasion of Russia.

“Our countries have the nearest known defense, security and intelligence relations,” said Charles during dinner. “In two world wars, we fought together to defeat the forces of tyranny.

“Today, while tyranny threatens Europe once again, we and our allies we support in favor of Ukraine, to dissuade the assault and ensure peace,” added the king.

Trump’s reciprocal remarks did not mention Ukraine. But at Checkers, the president repeated his general disappointment with Russian President Vladimir Putin during the current war, a conflict that Putin intensified with attacks against civilians and the British council building in kyiv since his meeting with Trump in Alaska a month ago.

“He dropped me. He really dropped me,” said Trump, offering no details on the steps he could take afterwards.

Starmer, pressing to take advantage of the pump of Trump’s state visit to an exploitable change of policy, said that a coordinated response to Putin’s assault would be to come and “decisive”.

“In recent days, Putin has shown his true face, is going up the biggest attack since the start of the invasion, with even more bloodshed, even more innocent killed and unprecedented violations of NATO airspace,” said Starmer, referring to the flights of drones of September 9 in Russia over Poland. “It is not the actions of someone who wants peace.”

“It was only when the president put pressure on Putin,” added Starmer, “that he has in fact shown any tendency to move.”
