The future of Jackson Lacombe is with the Anaheim Ducks.
The team signed the 24 -year -old Blueliner to an eight -year extension on Thursday.
Originally from Eden Prairie, MN, Lacombe had a campaign in small groups in 2024-2025, his third in the NHL and the second full season.
In 75 games, Lacombe scored 14 goals and 29 assists, with an average of 22:18 of the ice per night.
“We are delighted to sign Jackson to a long -term contract and lock a basic player for our future,” said Ducks Director Pat Verbeek in a statement. “Bringing this early case to conclude was a priority for us. Jackson has all the tools to be an anchor on our back-end for many years to come. ”
The agreement is the second significant signature for Ducks in recent days, the MCTAVISH Mason Center has given a six -year extension on September 27.
Lacombe will play in the past year of an agreement of $ 1.85 million of two years this season with the extension that will take place for next season. Lacombe was to be a limited free agent at the end of the season.
Originally taken with the 39th overall selection of the SHATTUCK-STN 2019 Entrance Project. Mary’s, Lacombe appeared in 148 games in three seasons. He has 16 goals and 44 assists, with an average of 20:51 of ice time.
Internationally, Lacombe represented the United States twice and left with a gold medal by twice. Lacombe was one of the winning efforts at the World 2021 Junior Hockey Championships in Edmonton and the IIHF World Championship in Sweden and Denmark. Lacombe scored two goals and three assists in 10 games in this last tournament.
The Ducks open their 2025-2026 season on October 9 with a visit to the Seattle Kraken.
