The actor ‘Star Trek’ and ‘Cheers’ had 97

Tom Troupe, a stage and television actor who appeared in “Star Trek”, “Murder, She Write” and “Cheers”, died Sunday morning at his home in Beverly Hills. He was 97 years old.

The death of the troop was confirmed by its representatives of public relations.

Throughout 75 popular series, including “The Fugitive”, “Mission: Impossible”, “The Wild, Wild West”, “Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman”, “Cagney & Lacey”, “Chips”, “Knots Landing”, “The man of the uncle”, “This is the life” and ” Place”.

On the film side, the troop’s credits include “The Big Fisherman”, “The Devil’s Brigade”, “Kelly’s Heroes”, “Summer School” and “My Own Private Idaho”.

Born in Kansas City, Missouri, the troop began playing in local theaters before moving to New York in 1948. After serving in the Korean War, he made his Broadway debut in 1957 by playing Peter Van Daan in “The Diary of Ann Frank” alongside Joseph Schildkraut. He moved to Los Angeles in 1958, where he started his career in television and cinema.

Also on stage, he played with his wife, Carole Cook, in the productions of “The Gin Game”, “The Lion In Winter” and “Pathers Day”. Among the other credits on stage, let us quote the national tour of “According to Time next year” with Barbara Rush, the Broadway race of “Romantic Comedy” with Mia Farrow and her play from a single man “The Diary of A Madman.

The troop is survived by her son Christopher Troupe, his daughter-in-law Becky Coulter, his granddaughter Ashley troupe and his nieces and nephews. Cook, his wife, died in 2023 heart failure at 98 years old.
