Boston – The America East revealed its finalists for the prices of the man and the woman of the year 2024-25. The three men and three women represent five different schools and four different sports with four of the students-athletes winning at least one conference championship.


The man and woman of the year will be released on Tuesday June 3 at the end -of -year award banquet of the conference. The America East began to honor a woman of the year in 2006 and presented the man of the year of the year in 2014. Women’s finalists of the year
Abby Kraemer, Maine – Soccer

  • The selection of twice all-American and twice from the first team of the first team that helped Maine win consecutive championships from the women’s football conference.
  • 2023 #Aewsoc Striker of the year and ended his career with 76 points out of 32 goals and 12 assists.
  • Graduated in December 2024 with a GPA of 3.90 as adults in biochemistry.
  • Served as a volunteer coach for the powerful football clinic for acts, the old -city school lunch business manager and a laboratory for discovery for interaction of virus cells.



Anna Olson, Vermont – Basketball

  • The selection of five-time conferences and the double winner of the first team that helped Vermont win a pair of women’s basketball championships and reach three consecutive championship games.
  • Helped UVM reached Fab 4 of the WNIT in 2023-24 and concluded its career with 1,686 points 853 rebounds, 132 blocks and 96 interceptions in 140 games.
  • Graduated with a GPA of 3.89 as adults in biology and a graduate with master’s degree with public health, winning a 4.0 GPA.
  • Bouruve for three years at the King Street Youth Center, worked as a referee for the special Olympic Games and was data analyst for UVM Center of Rural Studies.



Alison Smisdom, Ualbany – Gazon Hockey

  • The triple selection of the NFHCA in the first team All-American and Triple First All-Region team helped Ualbany win a championship and reach three games of conference title.
  • A winner of every four times in the first team that ranks third in the history of the League in two points (174) and in goals (74), while recording 26 assists in 79 games.
  • Graduated with a GPA of 3.57 as a major double in accounting and business administration.
  • A three -year member of the SAAC, was a student assistant in the sports training room and volunteered in many hockey clinics on the ground.



Man’s finalists

Jayo Adegboyo, UMBC – Track & Field

  • The four -year ugliness won consecutive gold medals at the America East outdoor athletics championships as a member of the 4X400 relay of the UMBC. Also won a pair of bronze medals in the event.
  • Appointed 2025 Arthur Ashe Jr. Stock market sports of the year and appointed a UMBC Meyerhoff scholarship holder.
  • Graduated with a GPA of 3.95 as a major in biochemistry and molecular biology.
  • Served as a food bank in Howard County, a customer assistant for six years and a medical center from the University of Maryland, Tri volunteer since 2018.



Zach Barrett, Vermont – Soccer

  • 2024 #Aemsoc The defender of the year led the Vermont to the national NCAA 2024 championship while winning the recognition of the championship team.
  • Selection of quadruples conferences and five -year member of male football who helped win a pair of America East championships while playing 90 defense career games.
  • Graduated with a GPA of 3.4 as an advertising in business administration and won a GPA of 3.7 as everything by winning a master’s degree in accounting.
  • Member of four years of Saac, organized and managed an annual football clinic with the Boys & Girls Club of Burlington and volunteered at the King Street Youth Center



Joseph Mucci, Njit – Track & Field

  • Four year member of cross-country and athletics programs in Njit.
  • Obtained a sixth place in the 1000m in the #AetF 2025 indoor championship and helped the Highlanders to place fourth at the 4×800 in the outdoor championship #AetF 2023.
  • Graduated with a 4.0 GPA with diplomas in IT and applied mathematics.
  • Served as you for the first -year honors seminar for three years, taught a class on computer programming in an intermediary school in local Newark and helped the Highlander House.
