“ After the hunt ” features Julia Roberts, Andrew Garfield at the opening evening of Nyff
Luca Guadagnino sparkled – literally – while he was heading for the podium during the opening evening of the 63rd Annual New York Film Festival, which was held on Friday at Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center.

After having hugged Roberts, Guadagnino rushed to the podium to say quickly to the crowd that the film was “made to make you talk about it and beat you, and laugh and be desperate and happy”.
Roberts and Guadagnino were joined during the first by the Co-Stars Garfield, Edebiri and Michael Stuhlbarg, with the screenwriter Nora Garrett. Among the notable guests, there was the niece of Julia, Emma Roberts.

“After the Hunt” is intentionally ambiguous, removing black and white scenarios. Speaking of his approach to writing the morally complex dialogue of the film, Garrett explained: “I was an actor and a large part of the actor training that I received:” You must be on the side of your character – even if they do things with whom you do not agree. It is not a question of judging your character. It’s about trying to find a place in common and work from there. And I think I did the same with dialogue – I hope.

“After the Hunt” opens theaters limited to the United States on October 10, before spreading widely on October 17.
