Australia undefeated at ICC Women’s World Cup 2025

The Australians entered the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 as one of the heavy favorites to win the championship, and so far they have played an exceptional style of cricket.

Australia are one of two undefeated teams in the tournament alongside England and have already qualified for the semi-finals of the showpiece tournament.

They started their tournament with a dominant 89-run win over New Zealand, and their next match against Sri Lanka was called off in Colombo.

After this, Australia defeated Pakistan by 107 runs, India by 3 wickets and Bangladesh by 10 wickets to record a hat-trick of victories. In the match against Bangladesh, the Australians scored 199 runs in 24.5 overs, with Healy scoring 113 and Phoebe Litchfield scoring an unbeaten 84 runs.

We did our best, but the execution wasn’t great – Alyssa Healy

Speaking after the Bangladesh clash, Alyssa Healy expressed her disappointment at the lack of execution of plans but was happy to score two points. She clarified:

“I think so, they played well (against Bangladesh). We tried our best, but the execution wasn’t great, but we are happy to have got the two points. It’s so tough honestly, I was disappointed with my work with the gloves today, but I made up for it a bit with the bat, I’m really enjoying the challenge though. We’ve been here for a while, we’ll be going to a new venue, we’ve never been to Indore before and a new challenge presents itself against England.

“It was amazing for her (on Alana King), great to see her dominate and get the rewards for that. The players coming in played a big role for us – Darcie in attack was excellent, like I said we will make changes depending on the conditions and matchups. I thought she was outstanding today (on Phoebe Litchfield). We pride ourselves on our professionalism, we played well today to get both points, we will come back and be prepared for the next match as well.”
