Xabi Alonso won his first victory as Real Madrid coach when they overcome the early rejection of Raul Asencio to beat Pachuca 3-1 during the club World Cup.
Alonso’s first match ended with a frustrating 1-1 draw with Al Hilal, and Pachuca caused his team a lot of problems, especially after central defender Asencio was sent to the seventh minute.
But Madrid resisted the early storm and took command of the match after Jude Bellingham opened the scoring in the 35th minute, Arda Guller doubled her head eight minutes later.
