ALCS Game 6 Predictions: Best Bets and Player Props for Mariners vs. Blue Jays
The Dodgers have already punched their ticket to the World Series, but it remains to be seen who will represent the AL. However, with a 6-2 win over the Toronto Blue Jays on Friday night, the Seattle Mariners are in control, leading 3-2 heading into Game 6 today.
With elimination for one and a trip to the Series for the other, there’s a good chance we’ll get to see the best that many players have to offer in such an important matchup. But will their “best” translate into one of our “MLB Best Bets” for Sunday, October 19? Let’s discuss some options.
OVER 7.5 at -104 (FanDuel)
The final score has exceeded this mark in four of the last five games of this series. Toronto hit the ball well in the playoffs, hitting .293 and scoring 6-7 runs per game. Seattle hasn’t hit as well, batting .211 in the postseason with about four runs scored per game.
They averaged five runs per game in the ALCS. With the way both offenses played in the ALCS, I definitely have the upper hand.
Trey Yesavage, LESS than 4.5 strikeouts at +146
The 11 he had against the Yankees in 5 1/3 innings will make you want to take the OVER but resist the urge. Yesavage went four of four innings in Game 2 against Seattle. I’m not sure he’ll be in the game long enough to record MORE than 4.5 strikeouts.
I’m sure the Blue Jays would love to get more than 5 innings from him today. But with elimination on the line, his leash will be short.
Julio Rodriguez, OVER 0.5 homers at +455 (DraftKings)
Rodriguez took Yesavage deep in Game 2 and hit better for power on the road this season. If you’re going to bet on someone not named Cal Raleigh to record a home run, Rodriguez is a great candidate.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr., OVER 0.5 walks at +153 (DraftKings)
Guerrero Jr. is hitting .457 with five homers in the postseason and .389 with two homers in the ALCS. Since the Mariners walked him twice in Game 5, it would be surprising if they didn’t walk him at least once in Game 6.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr., OVER 1.5 total goals at -103 (DraftKings)
Vlad is 6-17 against Gilbert for a .353 batting average with two homers and two walks. With the way he’s hit in the postseason and his history against Logan Gilbert, if he faces Gilbert twice, there’s a good chance he’ll be walked both times.
George Springer, OVER 1.5 total goals at +101 (DraftKings)
Springer is expected to be back in the lineup today after leaving the game early in Game 5. He hit .318 in the ALCS with five extra-base hits. Against Gilbert, Springer hit .313 (5-16) against Logan Gilbert. With plus money odds, I like the value of this bet.
