Henderson, nev. – A’ja Wilson was appointed one of the five finalists on Friday for the WNBA MVP, putting the potential star of Las Vegas Aces in the potential position to become the first winner of the League.
The other finalists were the striker of Minnesota Lynx Napheesa Collier, the dream guard of Atlanta Allisha Gray, the fever of the fever of Indiana Kelsey Mitchell and the attacker of Phoenix Mercury Alyssa Thomas.
The price, voted by a media committee, will be announced on Sunday.
Wilson last season joined Cynthia Cooper from Houston Comets 1997 as only unanimous MVP selections. This linked him with Sheryl Swoopes, Lisa Leslie and Lauren Jackson as the only winners three times.
Wilson also won the prize in 2020 and 2022. The other four finalists did not win the MVP Prize.
