Aggregator Airbooking has become a distribution partner for Turkish Airlines, joining the NDC TKConnect platform of the carrier for agents.
Travel agents can now access Turkish Airlines NDC content alongside its Edifact content via Airbooking. NDC reservations made via the platform will avoid the GDS distribution supplement of the $ 24 carrier, which has been applied to EDIFACT reservations since October 1, 2024.
Turkish Airlines launched TkConnect on the same date of October 1. The platform currently includes 18 distribution partners, notably Travelfusion, Verteil, DRCT, MyTTY, LLEEGO, NUUA, NUFLIGHTS and THETA, according to the carrier’s website.
The contents of the airline also returned to Saber in June following an absence of 10 months after the two companies did not conclude an agreement during the contractual renegotiations last September. The “collaboration” renewed with saber also includes the NDC content.
Airbooking, water-based, formerly Airreler Technology, told BTN Europe that it is currently working with partners in the Middle East and North Africa and “extends in Europe” by adding NDC contents of airlines such as British Airways, Iberia and Lufthansa.
