Crisp fried shrimp in the air fryer

It only takes 15 minutes to cook two lots of fried shrimp in the air fryer, and they come out perfectly crunchy each time. I bread the shrimp in a simple mixture of seasoned flour, egg washing and Italian breadcrumbs, and they become golden and so satisfactory. This is seriously one of the easiest ways to get your dose of fried shrimp without making a big fatty mess in the kitchen. Dunk these shrimp breaded with a fryer in the air in a cocktail sauce, and you have a budgetary aperitif that still looks like a total treat!

I was lucky to buy the shrimp for this recipe with my Kroger subscription and saved $ 1.01. The shrimps were originally $ 5.00, but I obtained them for $ 3.99! *** I used Credorative of peeled and devein shrimp (31-40 by LBwith about 20-22 Total shrimp in a bag of 10 oz))that I thawed myself. Fresh shrimp will also work. You can thaw the shrimp in several ways. I like to place them in the refrigerator and let them thaw overnight. You can also get them under cold water for about 10 minutes. Never defrost them on the counter, in the microwave or under hot water.

  1. I use large shrimp (31–40 per book), and they cook perfectly in 6 to 8 minutes per lot. You can use all the shrimp you like, but keep in mind that smaller shrimps cook faster, while larger shrimps can take a little more time. The fryer fried shrimps are fully cooked once the broom is golden and crisp, and the shrimps inside are opaque and firm to the touch (with an internal temperature of 145 ° F on a thermometer of meat).
  2. Preheat the air fryer. I preheated my air fryer for a few minutes to help the panel to become crisp from the start.
  3. Cook your fried shrimp on batches! I cooked mine in two lots, keeping them in a single layer so that the breading has become more crisp. Each batch took about 6 to 8 minutes, so I had two portions of perfectly golden shrimp in 16 minutes in total.
  4. Turn your shrimps back breaded halfway halfway halfway through cooking For even sharpness everywhere!
  5. You can use frozen or fresh shrimp, with the tail on or off. I went with shrimp on the frozen tail, which I disappeared following the instructions of the packaging. My shrimps were also already peeled and detected for more convenience. If you pick up shell shrimp, you will have to peel them and deactivate them yourself.
  6. I went with classic coastal flavors on the seasoning of shrimp and I chose Old Bay, but have fun, and attack your cabinets and season what you have at hand! The Cajun seasoning, lemon pepper or smoked chipotle powder would be delicious twists and turns!

Suggestion service

I go directly to my homemade cocktail sauce every time I make this shrimp recipe… it is the best dip for crisp fries shrimp (in my opinion 🙂). But a tartare sauce would be just as tasty if it’s no longer your style. You can also jump the dip and serve the shrimp just above a crunchy caesar salad, or throw them in simple pasta like spaghetti aglio e olio. Or use them to make a shrimp boy, stacked high on a grilled roller with lettuce, tomato and remoulade sauce!

Storage and reheating

These fried fried shrimp are definitely at their best freshness, when the panel is super crisp and the shrimps are cooked right. If you have leftovers, hide them in the refrigerator for 2-3 days in an airtight container. When you are ready to warm up, put them back in the air fryer for about 5 minutes, returning halfway, until they are hot and crisp again and the internal temperature reaches 165 ° F. Just be careful not to do too much because the shrimps can dry quickly.
