Aftermath of Ukraine Drone Strike on Russian aerodromes shown in satellite imagery

An analysis of several experts in new video and satellite images suggests that at least 11 Russian bombers planes and a large transport plane were seriously damaged or destroyed during the Ukraine drone attack on Sunday.

The video published Wednesday by the Ukraine Security Service (SBU) gives more details on the attack, the full extent of which has not been clear.

The government of Ukraine said that more than 40 planes had been destroyed during an attack on at least four air bases on Monday.

On Wednesday, two officials from the United States said that approximately 10 planes had been destroyed and that a total of around 20 had been targeted during the attack.

The video of the SBU published Wednesday opens with a view of the Olenya air base with several landing drones on Tu-95 and Tu-22 bombers and an AN-12 transport aircraft. Explosions of other drones and fire planes can be seen in certain clips.

In Olenya, according to the Defense Intelligence Janes, a company using open source information to provide information, four Tu-95 and a year-12-2 bombers were destroyed. Janes said they had based their video analysis and several satellite images.

Analysts of the private intelligence company Maiar wrote in a report, provided to ABC News, that no significant damage was visible at the base and that the imagery suggested that eight A-50 remained in the same position as in the previous images.

Two A-50 planes are seen at Ivanovo air base in Russia in a video published by SBU on June 4.

Satellite imagery on the Ivanovo air base captured on June 2 does not show any damaged plane.

After the appearance of the A-50s in the video of Ukraine SBU released on Wednesday, a series of clips shows drones landing on and around the major planes of the Dyagilevo air base in Russia.

According to Janes, Marks Scorch Marks on the ground suggested that the Dyagilevo air base suggested that the Dyagilevo air base was probably targeted in the attack, but there was no visible evidence of damage to planes there.

A satellite image of the Dyagilevo air base captured on June 2 shows the burn marks, however, no destroyed planes is visible.

Maiar analysts also underlined the scars on the ground near the areas where the aircraft had been stored.

After examining the SBU video, the open source intelligence analyst Brady Africk told ABC News that the video highlighted evidence at least one TU-22.

According to Africk, a damaged TU-22 bomber is seen in the Dyagilevo air base in Russia.

The video of Ukraine SBU ends with a series of clips from Belaya air base, where several plumes and smoke fires are considered drones targeting several plans.

An annotated image of the Belaya air base, captured on June 4, shows the 7 aircraft destroyed.

There, the wreckage of three Tu-95 bombers and four TU-22 could be seen in an image of June 4 by Planet Labs, according to an analysis by Janes.

Maiar analysts have reached the same conclusion, highlighting evidence in the satellite imaging of the scars on the ground and burnt grass in two areas of the base.

Africk, open source information analyst, told ABC News that bombers destroyed Tu-95 and Tu-22 could be seen at the base.

The two types of bombers were used in long -range strikes on Ukraine, Africk told ABC News.
