Rebranded Hundred eyes Ravi Ashwin for extra star power

As per The Telegraph, Ravichandran Ashwin would be eager to play in The Hundred next year. The tournament will undergo a rebrand with several IPL franchises involved. Mumbai Indians, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Lucknow Super Giants and Delhi Capitals have all purchased stakes in the franchises.

Ashwin announced his retirement from the IPL on Wednesday but aims to continue playing in overseas leagues. The 39-year-old is a legend of Indian cricket and could attract audiences. All four Indian teams could be in contention to sign the former India international. Capitals had Ashwin in their ranks at Delhi Capitals for years before his move to Rajasthan Royals.
