Afghan team for T20 Tri-Series against Pakistan, the water announced; 16 selected Asian Cup players
On Wednesday, August 27, Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) announced the team of the National Cricket Cricket team for the next T20i Tro-Série in the Water.
The Afghan National Cricket National team is expected to lock horns with the Pakistani cricket national team and the national water cricket team in a T20i tri-series before the 2025 Asian Cup.
The Afghanistan selection committee chooses 16 of the 17 members of the Asian Cup team for tri-series
Asia Cup will be played from September 9 to 28 in the water, and before that, the Afghans will get excellent preparation when they lock the horns with the water and Pakistan in the T20i matches.

The tri-series will start with the match between Afghanistan and Pakistan on August 29. Then, the water against Pakistan will be held on August 30 before the action passes to the 1st, 2, 4 and 5th. [Afghanistan vs UAE, Afghanistan vs Pakistan, Pakistan vs UAE, and Afghanistan vs UAE]. All matches in the series will be played in Sharjah, including the final on September 7.
Meanwhile, the ACB selection committee has appointed almost identical teams for tri-series and the Asia 2025 cut, with only a small change.
The Star Naveen-Ul-Haq stimulator was not appointed to the T20i team for the Tri-Série despite its choice for the 2025 Asian Cup and was replaced by Abdollah Ahmadzai, which is one of the standbys of the marquee tournament.
Meanwhile, Ibrahim Zadran will return to the Afghan T20i by playing XI for the first time since the Male T20 World Cup ICC 2024. In addition, the Spinner Am Ghazanfar is online to make its T20i debut.
Rashid Khan will lead a starry star cricket team that also consists of star players like Rahmamullah Gurbaz, Noor Ahmad, Mohammad Nabi, Karim Janat and Azmatullah Omarzai.

John Mooney has appointed the new field coach, Nirmalan Thanabalasingam has appointed the new physiotherapist
Recently, ACB has appointed former Ireland star John Mooney as a new field coach and Australian Nirmalang Thanabalasingam as a new physiotherapist.
Afghan players are currently in Abu Dhabi, who is undergoing a training and preparation camp. John Mooney and Nirmalan Thanabalasingam also joined the camp.
John Mooney is a former Irish cricket player who has played 91 international games and has level 3, 2 and 1 coaching certificates of the ECB and previously worked with Afghanistan from 2018 to 2019.
Speaking of Nirmalan Thanabalasingam, he worked with Desert Vipers (ILT20), Cricket NSW, Rangpur Riders (BPL), Montreal Tigers (GT20 – Canada), ICC World XI and Sydney Thunder (BBL).
