ACF Investment Bank plans European push into mergers and acquisitions
In another sign of the booming international M&A market, ACF Investment Bank is opening an office in Germany and has hired industry veteran Bernd Wendeln to run it. He will be responsible for mergers and acquisitions for Europe, overseeing ACF’s European strategy and expanding its presence across the continent. The opening of the Munich office marks ACF’s fourth base, with offices already opened in Los Angeles, London and New York. “Germany represents a key market for ACF’s next chapter of growth,” said Thomas Dey, CEO of ACF. Wendeln was previously head of mergers and acquisitions for Verve Group and a board member and COO of German company Your Family Entertainment. He also held leadership positions in M&A and corporate development at the Tele München Group, now part of Mediawan, and ProSiebenSat.1 Media. Separately, ACF has promoted Milos Perovic to director, following his work on deals such as the sale of See-Saw Film to Mediawan. “There has been a significant increase in transactions and buyers in Europe,” says Dey. “With dedicated local teams now covering Europe, the UK and the US, ACF is well placed to support clients with their buying, selling and fundraising opportunities. »
Austin Pendleton joins ‘Shooting Sid’

Written and directed by Jaime Zevallos (Cloak and dagger), the psychological drama thriller follows Ernie (Zevallos), an unemployed drifter who takes a mysterious job as a caretaker for Sid (Marc Cubelli), a deeply troubled man convinced he can travel through time. They fall into a fever dream of madness, paranoia and blurred reality as they attempt to build a time machine, all while Sid’s enigmatic butler (Pendleton) watches. Additional cast includes Sibo Yan (Once upon a time in New York), which also produces Gary Perez (When they see us), Lucas Jacob (Dinner in America), Anissa Borrego (Elio), Onika Day (Inventing Anna), Shing KaRevenge of the Green Dragons), Kevin Matthew Reyes (Rest and relaxation), Richard Bon Bon Centeno (Tips) and Marc Chouen (American Horror Stories). The film is produced by Marc Cubelli, CEO of Hudson Street Films, Sibo Yan and Zevallos.
Prime Video teams up with Hrithik Roshan for Thriller series
Hindi film actor Hrithik Roshan is working on a thriller series for Prime Video. Storm (working title) marks its first move into the streaming space in India and will have a cast including Parvathy Thiruvothu, Alaya F, Srishti Shrivastava, Rrama Sharma and Saba Azad. Roshan’s HRX Films is handling the production. Storm was created and directed by Ajitpal Singh, with Ajitpal Singh, François Lunel and Swati Das as screenwriters.
