Champions League 2025-26-Complete Time of the League while Alexander-Arnold returns to Anfield and Bruyne Eyes Man City Réunion

The Champions League returns for its second season in the newly adopted format and in 2025-26, the Premier League will have six teams that seek to become the best team in Europe.

The Liverpool champions seek to claim a seventh historic crown of the Champions League and will face the old enemies of Real Madrid – which will include a visit by Trent Alexander -Arnold – as well as Inter Milan.

Meanwhile, Arsenal will once again welcome Bayern Munich and go to San Siro, and Tottenham will face PSG in a revenge match of the August Super Cup.

Manchester City participates in their 15th consecutive campaign in the Elite competition in Europe and will face Borussia Dortmund, with Real Madrid who also awaits the team of Pep Guardiola, alongside a meeting with the former Kevin midfielder in Bruyne.

They are joined by the Chelsea world champions, who must go to Napoli d’Antonio Conte, as well as by Bayern Munich.

The other heavy strikers are involved, including the Spanish giants Barcelona, who face Chelsea and PSG.

Real Madrid must overcome Liverpool and City, and Bayern Munich of Harry Kane has difficult tests against Chelsea, PSG and Arsenal.

You can find the full draw below, as well as information on the moment when the new Champions League campaign is starting this season.

How does the Champions League draw work?

The 36 clubs participating in the competition are made up of:

  • 27 teams that qualified through their national league posts
  • Holders of the Champions League and the Europa League
  • Seven teams that have progressed through qualification towers

The clubs are classified in four pots, determined by the rankings of the coefficients of the UEFA club. Starting with pot 1, the teams are drawn individually and each will be allocated eight opponents by the automated UEFA software.

Each team will play eight matches in total: two opponents of each pot, one at home and one outside.

Clubs cannot face adversaries from their own country, and no team can be drawn to play more than two clubs from the same nation (for example, two Italian teams).

This process continues until the full calendar of the 36 clubs is confirmed.
