FFL2 Recap
In one of the matches presented, Tua trophy fish (163.44) ran away with the big win in this week’s big dog showdown against Greg Heffley (105.34). But it’s still one of three teams at the top with a 5-1 record.
I’m 100% sure there is no place where No place like Mahomes (132.08) would rather be than the win column given his luck. He is on a good slope… 3 of his last 4 matches have been lost by less than a point… this one included. The guy has the worst luck, but GG Jeanty & Juice (132.86) on the victory, it was definitely the first-rate trash talk that took place at the start of the match that made the difference in this match lol.
The two matchups featured in FFL2 this week turned out to be two VERY different stories.
Smoking Fins (117.1) is on the rise with a strong victory over My Nabers (107.48) this week. My Nabers falls to 2-4 and Smokin Fins rises to 3-3.
In the Jack VS Jack match, Jackson’s best team (102.28) won, making them one of 3 teams at 5-1. Although it barely exceeded 100 points, the Lumberjacks nearly set a new Abstract Sports FFL season low at 78.24.
It’s starting to be a spooky season and Jonathan’s Scary Team (127.06) still can’t find their gear scary. The Kittle Engine (158.74) improves to 4-2 in this outing, with big improvements from the RB team.
And last but not least, the Tater Tuds (186.36) posted their best score of the season AND best score of the week in FFL2 with all the help from the RB/WR/Flex positions. He improves to 5-1 with Tua’s Trophy Fish and Jackson’s Finest Team, while Tet TD (145.3) falls to 2-4.
Week 7 Featured Matches
Lumberjacks (2-4) VS No Place Like Mahomes (1-5)
I feel like the storyline has shifted to the Battle of the Bottom Feeders. Obviously, eyes are on the three 5-1 teams and whether or not they can create separation from each other at the top, but No Place Like Mahomes turns out to be a case study in “how to lose by less than a point in fantasy football” and I’m hooked. I don’t know if this puts more pressure on those who are doing everything they can to win, or if it creates good entertainment for everyone. Please let me know in the comments.
In addition to this interesting near-victory story, the Lumberjacks and No Place Like Mahomes are brothers, so it’s a bloody battle. It’s always a good time.
