ABC News hopes that stories of real crimes will stop audio fans

ABC News deepens the stories of real crimes to make fans listen to its audio offers.
Two new offers show the new Lean towards the stories of the law and the order. ABC News correspondent John Quiñones will welcome the new podcast “Vanized: What has arrived in Vanessa”, from September 16. The limited race series tells the story of the murder in 2020 of the American army soldier Vanessa Guillen. The news operation supported by Disney also extends its podcast “20/20: The After Show” in the form of a video. Deborah Roberts will host the companion program from Monday, September 29.
“This is what people want,” said Katie Den Daas, who was recently appointed main vice-president of the ABC News news-gathering in a recent interview. “We give them more.”
The news division can develop many different audio products with tales of real crime, says the executive. News aficionados are interested in catching up around current tests, but older crimes stories can earn a new traction in the event of a new round in a case. ABC News found a traction with coverage linked to the recent trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs as well as that of Bryan Kohberger, recently convicted of having killed four students from the Idaho University.
ABC Audio hopes to have up to six or seven real crime stories at any time throughout the year, says Den Daas. The company found that he had gained ground with the recent launch of “Devil in the Desert”, a podcast organized by Matt Gutman This is investigating the removal and torture of two people in the Mojave desert.
The “disappeared” series will bring the listeners back through the murder of Guillen 2020, featuring an exclusive interview and never ahead of ABC News reporting and new updates for family members.
“20/20: The After Show” tells the listeners how ABC News journalists and producers were able to report the story shown during “20/20” of each week, with Roberts leaving how the critical information was discovered and offering interviews with people involved in each case who have not reached the original television episode.
Each new ABC Audio Limited series will contain a bonus episode, with Brad Mielke, animator of the “Start Here” podcast, providing questions from listeners to the project host.
