Dallas – Storms move in northern Texas on Tuesday, bringing heavy rain and leaving thousands of people without electricity.

Tuesday is a day of WFAA meteorological alert with a potential of violent storms with heavy rain, hail and gusts of wind up to 60 mph in northern Texas forecasts.

As the storms moved to northern Texas on Tuesday morning, more than 13,200 ONCOR customers were reported without electricity shortly after 10:30 am, according to the Oncor failure card.

“Oncor monitors solid thunderstorms with serious thunderstorms on our service territory”, reads a meteorological alert on the Oncor website. “Our teams will respond quickly to all power outages as soon as it is sure to do it.”

  • Dallas County: 1,974
  • County of Tarrant: 6,499
  • Johnson County: 1 005
  • Parker County: 214
  • Coist of Collin: 213
