The Lantern star Aaron Pierre tells a serious injury that he suffered before filming and his way to recovery

Aaron Pierre took Instagram To reveal that he suffered a serious injury just before the start of the shooting on HBO Lanterns. With only a month to recover and train for the role of superheroes of John Stewart, here are images of the intense training of stone.

I was thrown like John Stewart in October 2024.

Most recently, it has been announced that Filming on the next superhero drama Will wrap next month. Lanterns is without exact release date but should be published in early 2026.
The intrigue of Lanterns focuses on a murder apparently isolated in the American heart, in particular Nebraska. This local crime will attract the member of the Veteran Green Lantern Corps Hal Jordan (Kyle Chandler) and his new recruit, John Stewart (Aaron Pierre), in deeper and more sinister revelations.
The series, made up of eight episodes, promises to link this survey based on earth to the broader story of the DCU Chapter one: gods and monsters.
More recently, James Gunn clarified that, just because the show is described as anchored, this does not necessarily mean that the series takes place mainly on Earth.

In addition to Chandler, Kyle Pierre and J. Alphonse Nicholson, the off -competition distribution also includes Kelly Macdonald as Sheriff Kerry, a pivotal character in the local mystery.
Fans will also see Nathan Fillion resume his role of abrasive Guy Gardner, connecting Lanterns at its appearance in the next Superman movie.
Ulrich Thomsen will represent the emblematic thoroughbred sinestro, Hal Jordan’s former mentor. The other key members of the distribution include Garret Dillahunt as William Macon focused on the plot, Jason Ritter like her charming son Billy, Nicole Ari Parker as mother of John Stewart, Bernadette.
Lanterns is co-written by Chris Mundy (who also serves as a showrunner), Damon Lindelof and Tom King. James Hawes directs the first two episodes. The shooting of the series started in February 2025 in Los Angeles.
With a first planned on HBO at the beginning of 2026 (and streaming on max), Lanterns is about to present the wider spectrum of the DCU galaxy after Superman And Creature commando Terrestrial adventures.
