The history of cinema does not lack interesting stories about people who have been almost presented as emblematic characters, but had to abandon due to planning conflicts (or were dismissed from major films and replaced by other actors). Super -hero films alone have a long list of such tales, various actors who have almost joined (or who have been rumors for) “Fantastic Four” from Marvel to Hugh Jackman by replacing Dougray Scott as Wolverine in “X-Men” after delays in the shooting of “Mission: Impossible II” launched the Scott calendar in synchronization.
Naturally, these are not the only times that the casting process for Marvel superheroes involved several actors before landing on the name that we now associate with the role. In an interview with the comic strip film, Kellan Lutz (who played Emmett Cullen in the “Twilight” films) revealed that at the beginning of the MCU, he was in the mix to play Thor or Captain America:
“Listen, I would like to do Marvel or” The Avengers “… I auditioned for Thor and Captain America. I was close enough to these, but obviously Chris [Hemsworth] and Chris [Evans] are brilliant for them.
