Warriors, Kings, Pistons Talking Jonathan Kuminga Trade – NBC Sports Bay Area & California

Jonathan Kuminga and Malik Monk could soon be in motion.
The Warriors, Kings and Detroit Pistons discuss a blockbuster with three teams that would send Kuminga and the veteran playmaker Dennis Schröder in Sacramento in separate sign and exchange agreements, a source at NBC Sports California said.
Trade discussions remain fluid.
Schröder on Tuesday, Schröder would have accepted a $ 45 million contract over three years with the Kings.
The Kings, in turn, would send Monk to the Pistons, and the second -year NBA goalkeeper Devin Carter and the great man newly acquired Dario Šarić in the Warriors, the source told.
The Kings separate with Monk was the most likely scenario during the offseason, two sources at NBC Sports California said.
Sacramento would also send two seconds of the second round to Golden State, said the source.
For Kuminga, the trade would end a mandate of turbulent warriors and would give him a new start with the Kings.
The Warriors have selected Kuminga with the overall choice n ° 7 in the draft of the NBA 2021, and although the 22 -year -old showed lightning of potential, he was never a perfect adjustment alongside Steph Curry.
Kuminga and the Warriors do not agree on a contract extension before the NBA 2024-25 season, and he played the campaign without knowing what the future has known to him. He became a limited free agent on Sunday when Golden State extended a qualification offer of $ 7.9 million.
But the commercial market for limited free agents was not robust this week, limiting Kuminga options outside the Warriors.
In four seasons with the Warriors, Kuminga collected on average 12.5 points out of 50.7% of shots in the field.
The director general Mike Dunleavy had hoped to acquire players in a potential sign and exchange for Kuminga, but in this scenario, the Warriors would add a future active while cleaning the wage ceiling space.
Sacramento would reorganize part of his list with this decision, adding a starting point guard to Schröder and a potential talent that changes the situation to Kuminga.
Schröder, 31, spent time with the Brooklyn Nets, Warriors and Pistons last season, with an average of 13.1 points and 5.4 assists in 75 games. The Kings would be his 10th NBA franchise.
Carter, choice n ° 13 of the NBA draft last year, fought against injuries as a recruit and could join a Warriors team where the minutes are difficult to find. He collected an average of 3.8 points in 11.0 minutes in 36 games.
Monk was opened to find a house in Sacramento, so his departure would be soft to be for the 27-year-old.
The NBA free agency has been a whirlwind since the opening of the negotiation period on Monday afternoon, and the Warriors and Kings could still make things happen if they conclude this agreement with the Pistons.
