A Star Wars Story star, Alan Tudyk, sets a record on covers, his role as K-2SO reduced as K-2SO

Jared Bush and Stephen Schiff were among the creatives who worked Andor Before Tony Gilroy climbed the Disney +series. While little was revealed to what their catches looked like, we know that K-2SO of Alan Tudyk was going to have a much more important presence.

In the version of Gilroy of Rogue One: A Star Wars story Prequel, the droid favorable to fans played a minor role, although crucial, in the last episodes of season 2.. Cassian’s friendship with K-2o did not feel too important for the history of the rebel, leaving many dissatisfied fans, despite the way the series was otherwise.

Speaking at La Playlist (via sffgazette.com), Tudyk confirmed that he originally had much more to do Andor. “I would have had a more important role overall. When he left, then it changed, I was disappointed, but I can’t think it would have been better than Andor,” The actor recognized. “It’s quite different and so good.”

“It would probably have been closer to what we are used to with the current Star Wars series, right?” Tudyk continued. “Which can be great, but it’s very different. I have the impression that it is quite different, and it’s so good.” He then pointed out that “too many K-2SO could change [Andor’s] tone.”

Gilroy had already visited a galaxy far, far, of course, after being enlisted to help Snape OneReshoots. The big songs of the film would have been modified, including the final act (the confrontation between Jyn Erso and a fighter managed by director Krennic in the trailers was missing, for example).

Thinking about this experience, Tudyk said, “The script was changing while we were turning. It was weird, but it’s like that with many great films, and Rogue One was not very different.

He added, “We were always going to die, so it didn’t look like a radically different film, but the changes gave each character their own hero’s own character.”

Rogue One: A Star Wars story is widely considered the best modern Star Wars film, while Andor is often praised as being much better than any other television program produced by Lucasfilm for Disney +. The common factor is Gilroy, so the studio was intelligent to involve it.

However, the filmmaker confirmed that he was probably finished with Star Wars After AndorAnd Lucasfilm seems to move away from the streaming to focus on more momentum Star Wars stories, starting with The Mandalorian and the Grogu And Star Wars: Starfighter.

The two seasons of Andor are now in difficulty on Disney +.
