A New Zealand woman arrested after having traveled with 2 years in a suitcase

A woman in New Zealand was arrested Sunday after a 2-year-old girl was found trapped in a suitcase with which she was traveling.
The police were called in a bus deposit in Kaiwaka – about 62 miles north of Auckland – after a bus driver was concerned with a bag moving during a planned stop.
“When the driver opened the suitcase, he discovered the 2-year-old girl,” said loss inspector Simon Harrison. “The little girl would have been very hot but seemed to be physically unscathed.”
According to the police, the suitcase had been stored in a separate compartment under bus passengers.
Harrison said the girl was at the hospital with a vast medical assessment.
The 27 -year -old woman was arrested and accused of ill -treatment and negligence of a child. Harrison said other charges were possible.
The relationship between women and children was not immediately released. The woman is expected to appear on Monday before the North Shore District Court.
“We would like to recognize and congratulate the bus driver, who noticed that something was not correct and took immediate measures, preventing what could have been a worse result,” said Harrison.
