Last week, when tens of thousands of Texans experienced serious floods, my husband and I were among the millions of people praying for the children of the Mystic camp. It is a tragedy that struck near us for us: I grew up in Seguin, a city near San Antonio which has experienced less serious floods. We both studied in the universities of Texas, all our children were born in Texas and we always have a family in the state.
