A juneteenth event guide in southwest Ohio

Over the decades, the holidays have become better known, with major celebrations that take place across the country. Juneteenth was finally appointed as a national holiday in 2021.
The events of the region will celebrate the holidays, and here is a guide of what is planned:
20th annual juns and fest

When: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. June 14
Location: 620 Piqua Place, Springfield
Description: African-American history and culture will be celebrated alongside paternity during this next Gammon House event. There will be live performances, crafts, historical demonstrations, food sellers and more.
Community festival Juneteenth
When: 4 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. June 14
Location: Clocktower Square, West Chester Twp.
Description: This family event will celebrate Juneteh with live music and entertainment. Catering trucks and local sellers will also be present. Guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs.
Hamilton celebration juneteenth
When: 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. June 14
Location: Symmes Park in Hamilton
Description: Catering trucks, retail sellers, organizations and more on site.
Juneteenth Eve celebration
When: 6 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. June 18
Location: 1646 Hoffner St., cincinnati
Description: Professional artistic research projects, an artistic organization based in Cincinnati, celebrates Juneteenth with a barbecue. The event will set out a cash bar, offering popular rhingeist beers. This celebration is free and open to everyone.
Huber Heights music festival Juneteenth
When: 4 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. June 16
Location: 8625 Brandt Pike, Huber Heights
Description: Many local musicians and companies belonging to blacks will attend the third annual music festival of Huber Height on June 16. This free event will star artists such as DJ Oscar, Luther Suede, Gemstone and more.
African-American Dayton Metro Library
When: 7 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. June 16
Location: North-West Branch: 2410 Philadelphia Drive, Dayton
Description: Shawna Woodward, who worked as a genealogy librarian from the Dayton Metro library for more than 20 years, will organize an event discussing the unique challenges of the documentation in the history of the African-American family. Registration is required for this event, with remaining limited spots.
Cimetry Woodland Influence and African-Americans Tower of African-Americans
When: 2 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. June 19
Location: 118 Woodland Ave., Dayton
Description: The Woodland cemetery will organize a tour honoring the famous African-Americans buried on its field. Reservations are necessary and customers will meet at Eichelberger Plaza.
Oxford Juneteenth
When: June 7:30 p.m. June 30
Location: Uptown parks in Oxford
Description: With live music from DJ Vu Skeen and the Old School Nextfazze group. Prepare to dance, sing and celebrate freedom.
Celebration of Fairborn Juneteenth
When: 11:19 am June 19
Location: 222 S. Central Ave., Fairborn
Description: Fairborn will host his Juneteenth celebration in Central Park.

When: 5-8:30 on June 19
Location: Levitt Pavilion: 134 S. Main St., Dayton
Description: The celebration of the Juneteenth of Levitt Pavilion will start at 5 p.m. with Dancing Line, followed by a community celebration at 6 p.m. The event will end with a performance of the R&B singer Goapele at 7 p.m.
Juneteenth Troy celebration
When: June 20-21
Location: Downtown Troy
Description: The celebration of the Juneteenth de Troy will start with a Gospel music concert at 6.30 p.m. Friday at the Chapelle de Richard, located at 831 McKaig Ave. On Saturday, there will be a walk at 3:00 p.m. from the first Christian Center center, located at 16, more than 3 a.m., at 6 a.m. to 6 a.m., a festival will be held on the fashionable park.
Springboro Juneteenth Jubilee
When: 1 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. June 21
Location: 1000 S. Main St., Springboro
Description: The celebration of Springboro in Springboro will star a variety of events and activities. These include underground rail visits, live music, local sellers and a three against three basketball tournament.
Junteenth tasting event
When: 10 a.m. to 4:22 p.m. June 22
Location: 1801 Race St., Cincinnati
Description: Findlay Market in Cincinnati celebrates Juneteenth with a food tasting event, with popular local businesses. The participating sellers include Afromeals, the Arepa Place, the Cakepop Shoppe and more.
Quilting in the African-American tradition
When: 1:30 p.m. June 28
Location: 1350 Brush Row Road, WilberForce
Description: The National Afro-American Museum and Cultural Center will teach the guests the history and techniques of the traditional African-American court-American during a event celebrating the juneteenth. This workshop will be headed by Dr Renee Wormack-Keels.
