Angel Postcoglou “ Sacond ” Chants: Nottingham Forest Boss says that the team ‘on the right track’ ‘In the middle of the fans | Football news

Angel Postcoglou said that fans of Nottingham Forest who had sang that he would be “dismissed in the morning” was “entitled to their opinion”, but insisted that his teams were on the right track despite their defeat in the Europa League against FC Midtjylland.
Fans of the forest directed their songs to the Australian after being beaten 3-2 at City Ground, with Midtjylland marking twice before a third late on the break.
The defeat means that Postcoglou is still without victory with four defeats of his six games in charge since the replacement of Nuno Espirito Santo, making him the first permanent boss to be without victory in his first six games in 100 years.
Speaking after the match, Postcoglou said: “Fans are disappointed, they have the right to have an opinion on this subject and I heard their opinion.
“Nothing surprises me more in football. I suppose it’s just the climate in which we are and it seems that this is how we are going.
“But look, that’s something I can control. My responsibility lies to make sure that we are trying to get victories for this football club and progress it.
“I understand that the atmosphere around the place will not be great, I understand the kind of attitude of people at the moment, especially towards me, but I never worry about it. It is not an unknown territory for me.
“I really believe that we are on the right track and when we cross this period of uncertainty, we will be on a good path.
“I always think that outside of their attitude towards me that they were behind the team and I think it is the important thing. Of course, I prefer that people are optimistic.
“If we start winning football matches, the atmosphere will change.”
Angel deplores expensive recurring problems
While Forest dominated the ball, they could not prevent Midtjylland from asserting their domination of the sets, which they have become renowned in Danish football.
“It was a target similar enough to be honest, it was just that we drop in key moments and then have a mountain to climb.
“I suppose it is the accumulation of things, just the way. It is not as if the goalkeeper should make several stops.
“This is something that we have to try to unlock in terms of appreciation of the key moments of a game and to make sure that we are fully focused on them.
“If you allow the opposition to score, just a matter of time, they get the goal, it will be very difficult to win football matches.”
Concede to goals was a clear problem for the forest since the arrival of PostCoglou, 13 being shipped during its six games in charge. The last white sheet of the club occurred in a 1-0 victory against Manchester United in April.
“In the second half, we dominated the match and put them under pressure. We could not get the goal to unlock it.
“But again, we should not be in this position.”
Fans give a verdict on postcoglou
Sky Sports’ Adam Bate on the city of the city:
The atmosphere at the end was unpleasant, barely how Nottingham Forest had wanted their great night to reach its outcome. He had started with nostalgia and pyrotechnics. The forest is back. He concluded in Acrimon with calls so that Ange Postcoglou is leaving.
He is six games in this work, so at a level, it’s absurd. And yet, given the popularity of his predecessor and the disappointing reaction to his appointment, he needed a beginning encouraging to convince the skeptics. Instead, he did not win a single match.
Arsenal Away was an intimidating start but a cup equality against Swansea, two games against the promoted teams and a match inviting Danish opposition to a Europa League, they launched among the favorites to win, offered him a real opportunity.
Instead, despite the dominant possession in these games, he could not offer a vision of the way he can improve the forest. Indeed, some might say that it is because domination of possession in these games. This was not what their success was built on.
Perhaps the forest must evolve far from their counter-attack approach, add more to their repertoire if they are to progress. But for the moment, they seem to have lost what has made them so good without adding anything. Too passive. Uncertain in the two boxes.
Postcoglou insists that they are on the right track, but the meaning on the city of the city Thursday evening was that few people would agree with this feeling at the moment. Regardless of the coach, there would be concerns. But for many fans, the verdict on Postcoglou is in it.
