The teacher accused of having killed two parents in a state park of the Arkansas is the subject of a survey in the context of two strangely similar cold cases.
An unresolved stab in 2020 and a mysterious death by 2023 are now being revised following the double murder in Dev’s Den State Park.

The suspect Andrew James McGann, 28, was arrested after a five -day man hunt last week and accused of having stabbed Clinton and Cristen Brink to death when they traveled their two daughters on July 26.
Police said McGann had confessed to the killings after being radically arrested in a living room halfway, and he was a DNA match on the scene.
The terrifying attack, which, according to the police, was random, sparked a second overview of two unresolved murders at the opposite ends of the country.
If McGann was to be considered a suspect in more murders, this could arouse an investigation into the possibility that he is a serial killer.
A serial killer is someone who murders three or more people over time, with cooling periods between the killings.
McGann’s name has now been raised in three separate cases.
However, he has not yet been found guilty of nothing – in addition, the cops have already authorized him to at least one of the surveys.
While the police quickly excluded one of the unrelated cases, the other murder occurred in a park with a name of the same satanic at the Den State Park.
Murder of John Schmutzer
Wisconsin police re -examine the murder of John Schmutzer, 24, after the arrest of McGann, according to the Sheriff’s Bureau of Sauk.
Schmutzer was stabbed to death while he was hiking alone at Devil’s Lake State Park on October 14, 2020.

Chronology of murders
Clinton Brink, 43, and Cristen Brink, 43, were killed while they were hiking at Dev’s Den State Park with their daughters. You will find below a calendar of the case:
July 16 – The Brink family has activated its water service after recently moved to Prairie Grove, in Arkansas, according to Mayor David Falk.
July 26 – Clinton and Cristen were found dead on Devil’s Den Trail around 2:30 p.m. after their two daughters ran to the visitors center and said their parents had been attacked.
July 27 – Police release the identity of the couple killed. The cops ask visitors to the park to check their photos and their images on Saturday for possible images of the suspect.
July 28 – The results of the autopsy reveal that the binks died of the wounds by stab. Police in the state of Arkansas publish the sketch of a person of interest in the case.
July 29 – ASP publishes a photo of a witness to the person interested in the case.
July 30 – Andrew James McGann is stopped in the middle of the hair in the lupita beauty salon and in the hair salon just before 5 p.m.
August 1 – McGann appeared during his first appearance in court. Its indictment is scheduled for August 25.
After McGann fled the scene in Arkansas, witnesses described him as a white man with an average construction and dressed in black.

Murder of the Fleming winner
An unresolved murder on a Vermont hiking trail also reappeared while the case of McGann drew national attention.
In October 2023, the retirement teacher at the Vermont State University, the winner, Fleming, 77, was killed on the Delaware and Hudson Rail Trail, his favorite hiking trail near the campus.
No one has ever been arrested for murder on the Delaware and Hudson Rail Trail, but the police released a sketch from a person of interest after having received hundreds of tips after the death of Fleming.

At the time, the cops said that the person of interest was a white man in their twenties and was held at around 5’10 “with red hair.
It was spotted for the last time with a dark gray t-shirt and a black backpack.
After McGann’s arrest last week, the police soldiers from the Vermont state contacted the Arkansas investigators about the case, according to ABC Wten.
However, police announced on August 7 that they determined that there was no connection between McGann and Fleming or Vermont.
The soldiers still investigate the murder of Fleming, which devastated the community in its small university town in Castleton, about seven miles east of the New York and Vermont border.

Recent media reports have led to speculation on the possible links between this case and another survey on high -level homicides in Arkansas. Vermont’s state police would like to give some clarity concerning routine investigation stages linked to these cases.
As part of their continuous investigation in the Fleming case, the detectives VSP follow any potential advance each time it could arise. This includes contacting other police services when a crime occurs that could have potential similarities in de facto patterns, even if there is no known link between this case and the VSP investigation. VSP has contacted several police services across the country to discuss various suspects and cases that have similarities with the Fleming affair. The sharing of information between police services is a normal event, and these contacts do not indicate that a suspect in a crime is necessarily involved in one way with another.
After the Vermont state police learned the recent double homicide of a couple on a hiking track in Arkansas and the arrest of a suspect, the detectives of VSP took the routine to contact their counterparts in Arkansas to discuss the case. Currently, there is no known link between the suspect in this case and the homicide of the Fleming winner, or in the Vermont in general.

Before McGann moved to the northwest of Arkansas to teach in primary school, the former teacher lived in Oklahoma and Texas and seemed to move from school to school to get out of trouble.
In a disturbing allegation of a parent of one of his former students in Texas, McGann would have shown favoritism to little girls and once said that he wanted to be his girlfriend.
The school said that McGann had been on leave on “concerns related to class management, professional judgment and students’ favoritism”, but that he resigned by his own will.
McGann’s reason in the murders was not disclosed by the police.
It should be brought to justice before the court on August 14.
