27 Pwuds Full Reform Program in Sibugay

Twenty-seven people who have consumed drugs (PWUD) are now empowered after having successfully completed training on livelihoods within the framework of the Balay Silangan reform program in Zamboanga Sibugay on Wednesday, August 6.
Of the 27 graduates, 21 received the National II certificate (NC2) in carpentry, while six received NC2 in masonry.
Each graduate has also received basic equipment and tools aligned with their respective training, which they can use to support their livelihoods and reinstatement in the community.
They were honored during a graduation ceremony held at the municipal gymnasium in Telusan, Zamboanga Sibugay on Wednesday.
In his opening message, Bryan Babang, Philippine Drug Enfurcement Agency (PDEA) -zamboanga peninsula, congratulated graduates for their commitment and determination to complete the reform process.
Babang also expressed its gratitude to local government units, partner agencies and stakeholders for their unshakable support in the implementation of the Balay Silangan program.
He said that graduating from the 27 Pwuds marks an important step in government efforts to promote drug -free communities and provide sustainable reinstatement support for reformists.
The graduation ceremony was followed by civil servants and representatives of Telusan, the Technical Authority for the Education and Development of Skills, the PDEA, the Provincial Police Office of Zamboanga Sibugay and members of the Councils of the Municipal Anti-Drogue and Barangay.
