Service overview: Milwaukee Brewers against Minnesota Twins

The Brewers of Milwaukee, fresh out of a 2-4 road trip which ended with fortunately with a solid victory Wednesday afternoon in Cleveland, should face the twins of Minnesota in a battle of Rivaux Interleagis. The crew lost two of the three against the Rays and the Guardians, recovering the series final in each series. They are now 21-23 this year, firmly in third place in the Central NL.
The twins are heading in a completely different direction, winning their 11th consecutive match Thursday afternoon because they are now 24-20 this season, although they are still in fourth place in a very deep Al Central (outside the White Sox, of course).
After apparently approaching what could be considered a “good” health as a complete list, the Brewers lost another because of the injuries this week, because Jose Quintana faces an impact of the left shoulder and will therefore miss at least a few weeks with a stay. Aaron Civale, DL Hall, Aaron Ashby, Nestor Cortes, Connor Thomas and Robert Gasser join him among the launchers on IL, with Brandon Woodruff also dealing with a reverse when he has approached his first MLB game since 2023. Outfielders Garrett Mitchell and Blake Perkins are also available, with yields expected at the end or at the start of June.
The twins have several positions of position with statutes of injury to TBD, including Carlos Correa and Byron Buxton, who collided on a fly ball and are now both in the concussion protocol. We do not know if one or the other will be available this weekend in Milwaukee. The first goal player Ty France is daily with a contusion of a left foot, although he beat the bench on Thursday. The Voltger Harrison Bader is also daily with a left groin injury, and Matt Wallner is on the IL with a tension in the hamstrings. On the pitching side, Michael Tonkin is on the He with an arm injury, and Erasmo Ramirez came out with tension on the shoulder.
Jackson Chourio and Christian Yelich are equal for the team’s head with seven circuits this year, with Rhys Hoskins just on the tail with five circuits. Hoskins, who had a solid 4-en-4 match in the final of the series of Wednesday, is now knocking. 292 / .396 / .462 this year and is the clear leader of the Milwaukee offensive at this stadium. Chourio strikes .258 / .276 / .457, William Contreras strikes. 238 / .347 / .340, and Sal FRILLICK and Brice Turang are both hitting under .300 after great departures a year. In the team, the Brewers strike .233 / .310 / .355 (.665 ops ranks 25th) with 37 circuits (24th), 193 points (15th) and 56 interceptions (first).
Buxton leads twins in almost all major statistical categories, with 10 circuits, 27 products produced, 33 points, five doubles, three triple and eight interceptions. It strikes .261 / .312 / .522 this year. Trevor Larnach strikes .244 / .318 / .406, while Bader and Ty France both appreciate solid years by striking respectively .300 / .384 / .464 and .252 / .316 / .361. In the team, the twins strike. 239 / .309 / .382 (.691 ops ranks 18th) with 42 circuits (20th), 182 points (17th) and 25 interceptions (equal to the 23rd).
The most important weapons of Pat Murphy are presented as Abner Uibe (1.37 ERA) and Nick Mears (0.54 ERA), with Trevor Megill (2.92 ERA) as the closest. Grant Anderson and Jared Koenig will also receive high lever -effect sleeves, while Joel Payamps and Elvis Peguero picked up the lower effects. Tyler Alexander works as the long -term option. As staff, the Brewers have an ERA of 4.15 (22nd), including a starter era of 3.76 (11th) and an era of 4.65 (24th). They also withdrew 346 strikers (22nd) out of 383 2⁄3 sleeves.
Closer to Jhoan Duran (0.84 ERA) anchors the enclosure of the lifts and is a perfect 8-in-8 in backup opportunities. Louis Varland, brother of former brewer Gus Varland, has an MPM of 2.95 and leads the team with 24 appearances. Griffin Jax had a hard time with a 5.49 MPM, while Danny Coulombe was almost perfect without races won over 16 2⁄3 sleeves. Cole Sands, the former brewer Justin Topa, Jorge Alcala, Brock Stewart and Kody Funderburk complete the enclosure of the lifts. As a staff, twins have a 3.30 MPM (fifth), including a starter era of 3.48 (sixth) and an era of 3.04 (fifth) lift. They also withdrew 388 strikers (seventh) out of 384 1⁄3 sleeves.
Probable launchers
Friday May 16 at 7:10 p.m.: Chad Patrick (3.19 ERA, 3.69 FIP) against Joe Ryan (2.74 ERA, 3.39 FIP)
Patrick took the role of 2024 Tobias Myers, making eight departures (nine appearances) this year with a solid MPM of 3.19 and 3.69 FIP. During his last departure against the Rays, he won a decision without a decision because it is not only 4 1⁄3 Sleeve, granting two points on six strokes and two goals on balls with four stick withdrawals, although the Brewers ended up winning a 4-2. This is his first beginning of a career against twins.
Ryan, in his fifth season, benefits from his best season so far through eight departures. He has an MPM of 2.74 and 54 stick withdrawals in 46 rounds, in particular by granting one point or less in five of his last six departures. His last start was a winning effort against the Giants, because he gave a point on two strokes of safe and without walks with seven stick withdrawals on six images. Ryan made two departures against Milwaukee in his career, granting five points out of 11 1⁄3 Sleeve (3.97 ERA) with nine stick withdrawals. He made six rounds and granted four points last July against the Brewers.
Saturday 17 at 6:15 p.m.: Tobias Myers (3.86 ERA, 4.57 FIP) against Pablo López (2.77 ERA, 2.51 FIP)
Myers, who was demolished and quickly recalled from Triple-A Nashville, takes the original rotation point of Quintana in it. Through five appearances (four departures) this season, he granted seven points and withdrew 11 out of 16 1⁄3 sleeves. His latest departure occurred on Saturday against Tampa Bay, while he grants two points on three strokes and three goals on balls with three stick withdrawals on four images. This is his first beginning of a career against twins.
López’s statistics are close to Ryan through seven departures, because he granted 15 points (12 deserved) with 43 stick with 39 -rounds. His 2.51 FIP is even better than his ERA of 2.77, which, curiously, is in fact normal for him – he actually exceeded his FIP only once since his first full season in 2019, in 2021 (3.07 ERA, 3.29 FIP). After a series of solid departures, López’s last start was one of his worst of the year, granting four points over five strokes and two steps with six sticks in the stick in six sleeves. The former Marlin made seven career departures against Milwaukee, with an MPM of 3.07 and 49 stick withdraws in 44 rounds. He made seven rounds and granted a point with seven stick withdrawals in a decision without a decision against Milwaukee last July.
Sunday May 18 at 1:10 p.m.: Freddy Peralta (2.66 ERA, 3.46 FIP) VS TBD
Peralta is on the right track for another season of 200 strikes, because he made nine starts with an MPM of 2.66, 3.46 FIP and 52 stick with sticks out of 50 2⁄3 Sleeping this year. Despite these strong numbers, his last departure against the guards was not great. He gave four points on four sure and three goals on balls with four stick withdraws out of 5 1⁄3 sleeves in a 5-0 defeat. He made six appearances (two departures) against Minnesota during his career, with an MPM of 2.84 and 31 stick withdrawals on 19 sleeves. He made six -sleeves aimlessly with eight stick withdrawals in front of López last July.
The Twins have not yet announced their starter for the final of the series, because the team played a double-head on Wednesday afternoon, which means that if they use one of these starters (Bailey Ober or Simeon Woods Richardson), they would only be four days of rest. Just for fun, we will assume that Ober takes this place, because it would be technically its turn in rotation. Ober, which has 4-1 this year, has a solid MPM of 3.72 and 3.93 FIP with 40 stick withdrawals out of 48 1⁄3 Sleeping this season. In Wednesday’s victory over the Orioles, he went only 4 2⁄3 sleeves, granting three points on three goals on balls and two strokes with three stick withdrawals. He made two departures against Milwaukee (both in 2023) with an MPM of 3.27 and 10 sticks in the stick in 11 sleeves.

Prediction
The brewers catch the twins at the wrong time. However, I do not think they will be able to extend the victories sequence up to 14 at the end of Sunday. I think Milwaukee will save a match this weekend when their mediocrity season continues.
